The Preparation Process for Ultimate and Xtreme Bedliners

CLEANED
ENTIRE BED IS WASHED, AND THEN CHEMICALLY CLEANED (WIPED) WITH SPECIAL CLEANER.

SANDED
ALL SURFACES TO BE SPRAYED ARE HAND SANDED ALONG THE WIRE TAPED EDGES. THIS ALLOWS A STRONG MECHANICAL BOND, OF THE MATERIAL, TO THE TRUCKBED, SO THAT NONE OF THE EDGES WILL LIFT UP.......EVER.

POWER SANDED
A step often left out by other Applicators, power sanding. Adding this step to our process has eliminated any doubt that our product is going to stay on...as long as you own your truck.

CLEANED AGAIN
ENTIRE BED IS BLOWN OFF WITH DRY COMPRESSED AIR, AND RE-WIPED WITH WASH CHEMICAL-THIS IS DONE TO REMOVE ALL DUST AND ANY DIRT THAT WOULD AFFECT ADHESION. THEN BED IS HEATED UNDER INFRA-RED HEATERS, TO AGAIN, GIVE A SURFACE THAT ACCEPTS THE MATERIAL FOR BONDING.

TAPEING
A SPECIAL TAPE CALLED WIRE TAPE, (Has a high tensile, thin piano type wire on the edge), outlines where we spray the liner. This is to enable the liner to be cut "from the bottom" without the use of razor knives, thus a nice clean edge and no knife cuts. Then the truck goes to the next step

MASKING
During the process, the entire truck is masked ensuring that over-spray does not reach any of the truck surfaces you do not want sprayed. Being in the bodyshop business for over 27 years we really care about this most important step in the process.

Spray
This step is when the product is applied. A proper spray job is 75% prep and 25% spraying. Our applicators are trained properly, and applies the proper amount of material. Remember all applicators in the business ARE NOT THE SAME. They can really mess your truck up if not applied properly. The final step with Ultimates Low Pressure polyurethane is applying the protective UV top coat. This step is very important for sun protection on the low pressure product. Many competitors skip this step and the liner becomes faded very quickly and "CHALKS UP" and looks terrible within 3 months. Ultimates Xtreme Hi Pressure spray is mostly Polyurea which is not top coated and has a very stable UV tolerance.

Remove Masking Paper
The last step to a finished product. The job is done and your truck has a brand new liner that will last for as long as you own your truck
