I wish to thank all the walkers that participated in the 2010 Autism walk on April 17th. It was awsome, with over 9000 people showing up for a most pleasant day. Our Skills USA team had our tent canopy set up with over 1000 wood puzzel pieces that the kids could color with much help from our corporate friend Crayola crayons and color books donated. The kids had a great time. I believe the total should be close to the $500,000 mark going to the Autism Society for research. Thanks again, for your much needed support.

A new case of autism is diagnosed almost every 20 minutes. That amounts to 26,280 cases diagnosed each year…just one year. Here are some important facts we thought you should know about Walk Now for Autism Speaks: • 50% of the money raised for Autism Speaks comes from the Walk Now for Autism Speaks events. • Last year, even during very difficult economic times, almost $25 million dollars was raised through the Walk Now for Autism Speaks walk events. • We can’t be more proud of the dedicated walkers who raised money. In the five years since Autism Speaks was founded, we have been able to go from start-up to the largest funder of autism research in the world. It has been the hundreds of thousands of walkers in every community who have changed the future of those who struggle with autism by raising those funds. We need you to register to walk with us this year to keep the momentum going. While we are making strides in leveraging more research dollars through our grassroots advocacy initiatives, autism receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent childhood diseases. It is up to us, those of us who love someone affected by autism, to continue pushing the research advances forward. We can’t afford to sit this year out.

Just announced as of February 2010 that Westin has new step-up products for the 2500/3500HD 2010 Dodge Ram. The round step up bars, platinum oval wheel-2-wheel and the molded sure grip boards for the regular cab ahd crew cab. Also the platinum oval step bars for the crew cab and regular cab. The mega cab tubes are in the works.
